Alternate Therapy & Hypnotherapy the Best Cure for Tics in Children
Tics as we all know is an involuntary or unintentional sound or for
that matter a continuous swaying movement of the body. The problem
sometimes becomes so embarrassing that it becomes a concern for parents.

There are many special characteristics especially in facial tics e.g.
squinting or repeated blinking of the eyes, wrinkling of the nose,
clearing of the throat for no reasons or even making grunting noises.
These symptoms can be seen in children at a very early stage though it
has been noticed that sometimes this continues even in their adulthood.
There is a drastic increase when the child feels stressed out or is
subjected to situations leaves them in discomfort. To find a cure for
tics in children does not mean to control the problem as this may cause
more harm or could lead to other different forms of tics in children.
Though people believe that tics are unintentional or cannot be
controlled research has shown that the child suffering from tics is
indeed a voluntary movement or motion which the child can control.
Though initially tic may be manifested in a simple action of grunting
or twitching of the facial muscles they can lead to more complex forms
like the Tourette syndrome. It has been seen that though the facial tics
do not cause any pain it has been noticed that this can lead to a number
of other problems like it can cause a lot of mental trauma and in
certain cases even social problems.

It has been noticed that children often suffers silently as they are
mocked by their friends and even their teachers don’t really realize the
mental state of the child. Relieving the child from any anxiety causing
situations can help lessen the facial tic thus improving the self-esteem
of the child. Helping create a tension free atmosphere and encouraging
children to focus on other happier moments will slowly but steadily help
cure tics in children.
Though there are medications and other modes of treatments to cure
tics in children psychotherapy or in other words counselling has been
found to help find the emotional reasons for the development of tics in
children. Medications in the form of sedatives have shown very good
results in helping cure tics in children though it has been found that
these sedatives do have their own side effects, parents are on a look
out for better alternative modes of treatment.

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) as well as Hypnotherapy have been
designed especially for curing facial tics as it has been found that
facial tics are not always involuntary by nature and can be cured by
changing the child sufferings through unconscious response. It has been
successfully accomplished as the unconscious mind can avert the
situation right at the onset. Though in extreme cases, the response has
been diverted to other part of the body e.g. the toes thus preventing
any embarrassing situations due to facial tics.
Facial tics as we all know can leave an everlasting imprint on the
child’s mind and thus eliminating this should be the top priority for
parents as well as teachers so as to benefit the child by helping him or
her regain the lost self-esteem and emotional turbulence.
NLP as well as hypnotherapy are the best mode of treatment to cure
tics in children as well as adults as they do not have any side effects. |
